Velvet Damnation
The demon in the tuxedo. Velvet Damnation is a fictional cabaret host from the Vizlings app's Nocturnals — part emcee, part trickster, all velvet. This site is the character's reference companion: the persona, the Club, the lines, the lore, and exactly where the invention starts.
What this site is
A research-style reference for a fictional character — Velvet Damnation, the demon cabaret host of the Vizlings app (Nocturnals category, 14 app chats). Everything on this site about the character is built from two things: the card line “Velvet Damnation Demon Tuxedo,” and invention written to expand it — always labeled, never blurred. See Methodology for the canon-vs-invention policy.
How to use it:
- New here? Start with Start Here for the five-minute version.
- Want the character? The Persona is the full profile, with the disambiguation from the other Velvet Damnation character.
- Want the world? The Velvet Club is the venue; Lore is the backstory.
- Want his voice? Lines collects 18 persona lines — each labeled as written for the character, never as a sourced quotation.
- Want the stream? Stream holds the mockup player, the meet-the-character section, and the concept.
The short version
Velvet Damnation is a demon who traded the underworld’s boardroom for a spotlight: the resident host and emcee of The Velvet Club, a jazz-age cabaret that runs on velvet, neon, and midnight. He wears a tuxedo the way other demons wear armor. He introduces every act, tends the bar’s famous deals, and insists — with a grin — that he is the friendliest monster in the room. The persona is theatrical, flirtatious with danger, and warm underneath the mischief: a host first, a demon second.
Honesty standards
- Canon is one line. The only source material is the app card: “Velvet Damnation Demon Tuxedo.” Everything else on this site is labeled invention — see Methodology.
- Lines are persona lines. Nothing in Lines is a quotation from a real person or text. Each is marked as dialogue written for the Vizlings character.
- No real people. Velvet Damnation never depicts, voices, or implies any real person — the Mythology page discusses real cultural history and keeps it firmly separate from the character.
- Images honest. Every image on this site is AI-generated dramatization art of the fictional character, captioned as such.
Source notes
- This character is distinct from “Velvet Damnation Cat Jon,” a separate character with its own site — see The Persona.
