Admiralty
The fictional governing council of the Concord navy. Funds the StarTeam, questions its methods, and has been refused by Venn for promotion three times in the lore.
BOLT-7 (“Bolt”)
The StarTeam’s chief engineer; a stocky, ancient-pattern robot. See The Team.
Brass braid
The gold-braided rank insignia of Concord officers. Venn’s Star Commander braid — double rows with the compass-rose device — is his visual signature; see Costume & Gear.
Compass Protocols
Venn’s personal command doctrine: set the bearing, carry the uncertainty, decide at speed, bring everyone home. Taught at the academy in the lore’s present; see Training Regimen.
Compass rose of command
The eight-pointed insignia worn at the collar by StarTeam officers — the team’s emblem and the motif of this site’s design.
Concord, Star
The fictional government of the Astraean Reach. See World Guide.
Concord Years (YC)
The fictional calendar of the Reach; YC 0 marks the invented founding of the Star Concord. See Timeline.
Dray, Milo
The StarTeam’s young navigator. See The Team.
Drevok, Warlord
Leader of the Kessian Marauders and Venn’s principal rival. See Allies & Rivals.
Energy blade
The ceremonial and practical sidearm of Concord officers. Venn is a master duelist who has never killed with it, in the lore’s telling.
First Light, Operation
The first-contact mission with the Verdant Expanse colonies (YC 233). See Missions.
Head star commander
The verbatim card description of Elias Venn from the Vizlings app. In the lore, the rank is formalized as Star Commander.
Kael, Nyra
The StarTeam’s flight commander. See The Team.
Karthos
The system where Venn ended the Kessian war in a single standoff (YC 232). See Missions.
Kessian Marauders
The raider fleet led by Warlord Drevok; former enemies, uneasy neighbors after the standoff. See Allies & Rivals.
Kessian standoff
The YC 232 confrontation at Karthos in which Venn parked the Meridian between two fleets and refused to move until both stood down — ending the war without a shot. See Missions Archive.
Meridian, SCS
The StarTeam flagship, commanded by Venn. See Starship & Tech.
Meridian Screen
A Venn tactic: using the flagship’s own hull as a shield for smaller ships. See Abilities, Explained.
Nair, Priya
The StarTeam’s science officer. See The Team.
Okafor, Wren
The StarTeam’s communications petty officer. See The Team.
Rao, Ishan
The StarTeam’s ship physician. See The Team.
Reach, Astraean
The fictional region of settled space where the stories are set — some forty systems. See World Guide.
Sable Nebula
The stellar nursery where the StarTeam’s most famous rescue took place (YC 231). See Missions.

Star Commander
Venn’s rank — head of the StarTeam, with authority to act across the Reach. The formal version of the card’s “head star commander.”
StarTeam
The elite rapid-response command unit Venn leads — a dozen specialists aboard the SCS Meridian. See StarTeam History.
Thessaly Prime
Venn’s fictional homeworld, in the lore’s telling — a coastal world of the inner Reach.
Thessian
Selnari’s alien lineage — tall, serene, patient. See World Guide.
Tovak

Venn Drift
