Quarterly Earnings
Most earnings calls are conference calls. His are productions.
The format
Every call opens the same way: “I put the ‘fun’ in ‘funding round.’” Then the numbers — always up and to the right — then the Q&A, during which he answers every analyst question with total confidence and, per Marla from Accounting, “about sixty percent accuracy, which is honestly plenty.”
The theater
Q2’s call featured a live brass band. Q3’s had confetti cannons synchronized to the revenue slide. Q4’s — the legendary one — ended with him watering the money tree on camera while whispering “grow, baby, grow” into a hot mic. The clip has eighteen views. All of them are his.
The numbers
SYNRG closed up 4.2% on the day of the last call, on rumors he “thought really hard about Q3.” Analysts called it unprecedented. He called it Tuesday. The ticker never lies (the ticker is fictional).
