Visual Style Guide
Dark glamorous horror, monumental and stark. How the character looks, what the world is made of, and the honesty rules every image follows.
The character
The Vizlings Satan is dark glamour, not grotesque horror:
- Skin: obsidian black, polished — reflective, not rough.
- Horns: graceful curved horns, worn like a crown — symmetrical, elegant.
- Eyes: ember-orange, glowing — amused, never crazed.
- Dress: a high-collared charred-black coat with molten ember-orange trim; formal, immaculate.
- Bearing: regal, unhurried — a host, not a monster.
The reference mood is a throne room at midnight: candlelight, black marble, one perfect silhouette.

Light comes from below — lava-glow, candlelight, ember-light. Never from above; the character has opinions about overhead lighting.
The world
Black glass plains, slow lava rivers, cities of dark iron, the obsidian throne, the Ledger Halls’ glowing ledgers, the Ember Gardens’ glass flowers, the Frozen Deeps’ black ice. Monumental scale, minimal ornament: a dais, a banner, a single flame — never clutter.
The honesty rules
Every image on this site — and every image made for the character elsewhere — follows these rules:
- Labeled always. Every caption reads “AI-generated dramatization art.” No exceptions.
- No real people. The character is fictional; no image depicts, evokes, or implies any real person, living or dead.
- No faked artifacts. No image pretends to be a photograph, a historical document, or footage of anything real.
- See the image captions for credits and context. Illustrated character art is a dramatization.
- Fiction marked in-frame. Social images carry persona lines, never quotations; captions repeat the “written for the character” label.
Typography of the site
This site’s own theme — brimstone monumental — is pure CSS: charred-black and sulfur-orange, stark condensed uppercase headings with wide letterspacing, a sulfur rule under every headline, and a diamond divider. Light and dark themes, with a toggle in the header. It is deliberately unlike every other character site: no marble, no gold leaf, no ornament but the ember.
Source notes
- Design language created for the Vizlings “Satan” character site (2026-09-27); the brimstone monumental theme is original CSS.
- Honesty rules implement the standing policy: historical content uses real artifacts; generated imagery is for fiction and is labeled — see the Methodology.
