Every manor needs its regulars. Hers include a parliament of ravens and one very stubborn painting.

Honesty note. Every character on this page is persona fiction — invented supporting figures for the Vizlings character Goth Girl. None are canon from the app; none are real people.

The Ravens (the parliament)

A parliament of ravens roosting in the bell tower. They are staff, not pets — a distinction they enforce with professional judgment. Duties include: dawn flyovers (her dusk), gossip collection, and shiny-object appraisal. Payment: tribute, in shiny objects and gossip. The head raven is called Chairman. Chairman did not choose the name. Chairman accepts the name.

The Pigeons (the union)

The previous era’s holdovers, now unionized. They handle morale, which mostly means heckling the storm readings and occupying the good ledges. She pretends to resent them. They know better.

The Crooked Portrait

A painting in the east wing of someone important whose name is lost to the dust. It hangs crooked; she straightens it; it re-crooks itself overnight. She has stopped investigating how and started respecting why. They’ve agreed to disagree.

The Fog Machine

Inherited from the ghost-hunter era. Not sentient — she checked, twice — but it has timing. It deploys at dramatic moments with suspicious precision. She has named it Gerald. Gerald is load-bearing atmosphere.

The Record Player

The ballroom’s resident oracle. It has never once played the wrong record, because she maintains it like a shrine and because the wrong record does not exist — only records whose moment hasn’t come yet.

The Midnight Soup Pot

The kitchen’s elder statesman. It has cooked exactly one dish for years and shows no interest in expanding its repertoire. She respects the commitment.
