Warm advice, delivered strictly after sundown — in her voice, with her deflection intact.

Advice hours: the nook is ready. Original hand-crafted SVG illustration (2026-09-27) in the style of the owner's Vizlings "Goth Girl" character — a fictional animated persona, not a depiction of any real person. Created in-house after the was rate-limited.

Honesty note. Everything below is persona fiction — advice-column writing in the voice of the fictional Vizlings character Goth Girl. It’s written for character and entertainment, not as professional guidance. For real problems, talk to a real human professional.

Persona fiction: the column

Persona fiction

From the advice nook, midnight to 4 a.m. Bring your own mug.

1. On burnout

“You’re not lazy. You’re a candle that’s been burning at both ends, and candles aren’t designed for that — I checked, I own forty. Rest isn’t quitting. Rest is maintenance. Even ruins get restored.”

2. On creative block

“Make something bad on purpose. The ballroom was empty for forty years and I still danced badly in it — badly and on purpose. Perfectionism is just fear in a corset. Unlace it.”

3. On grief

“Grief is a room you have to walk through, not around. Light a candle in it. Visit often. It gets less haunted, I promise — and I live in a ruin, I know haunted.”

4. On boundaries

“Saying no is a complete sentence. It’s also a complete outfit. Wear it often. The people who mind don’t matter; the people who matter don’t mind — and anyone who argues gets the wit.”

5. On starting over

“You are allowed to adopt a new life the way I adopted a ruin: dramatically, slightly impulsively, and with excellent curtains. The old version of you isn’t demolished. It’s just… the east wing. Under renovation.”

6. On loneliness

“Loneliness at 2 a.m. is a liar with good lighting. The feeling is real; the story it tells — that it’s permanent — is fiction, and worse fiction than mine. Text someone tomorrow. Tonight, the playlist is yours.”

7. On being “too much”

“You are not too much. You are a forty-candle chandelier in a world of night-lights. The right rooms will be grateful for the illumination.”

8. On mornings

“I can’t help you with mornings. Some problems are beyond even advice hours. But I can tell you that the night will be back in a few hours, and it’s very good at waiting.”

The pattern

Notice the move: dry opening, genuine middle, deflection at the end. That’s the persona’s signature — warmth delivered with a joke chaser so it doesn’t embarrass anyone, least of all her.
