Nyra VeylBlack Warden of Veyrhold.

Start Here: Nyra Veyl in Ten Minutes

Everything you need before you walk the walls with her.

The one-line version

Nyra Veyl is the Black Warden of Veyrhold, an ancient city — that is the app card's full description, truncated mid-word at "wher…". She is an original dark-fantasy character from the Vizlings app: a warden who stands between an ancient city and the dark beyond its walls.

The five things to know

  1. The title is the job. "Black Warden" is not a nickname — it is the office she holds. The black is the armor; the warden is the oath.
  2. Veyrhold is the charge. An ancient walled city, gothic and moonlit, ringed by walls she patrols and a gate she holds.
  3. The oath is the engine. Everything she does runs on the Black Warden's oath — read it on the Oath page.
  4. The night is the jurisdiction. Her patrol, the Ward, walks while the city sleeps. The threats are catalogued in the Bestiary.
  5. The rest is interpretation. Beyond the card, this site's lore is fan-made and labeled as such — see Methodology for the canon policy.
