Methodology & Canon Policy
How this site separates what the app says from what fans imagine.
The canon fence
Nyra Veyl is an original fictional character from the Vizlings app, and the app's official record of her is exactly one truncated sentence. This site's policy:
App canon — the only facts treated as official:
- The name "Nyra Veyl".
- The title "Black Warden".
- The city "Veyrhold", described as "an ancient city".
- The card description, quoted verbatim: "Nyra is the Black Warden of Veyrhold, an ancient city wher…" (truncated in-app).
- The dark-fantasy warden persona.
Creative interpretation — everything else:
- The oath text, the Ward as an institution, the bestiary, the chronicles, the named figures, the glossary terms, the deep-dive essays, and all lines in the Warden's voice are original inventions for this site.
- Interpretation is always labeled with a canon-status note on the page. It is never presented as app canon.
Uncertainty, labeled
Where the site invents, it says so. Where the app is silent, the site does not fill the silence with false authority. The truncated card is quoted with its truncation — the missing words are not guessed.
Image honesty
Nyra Veyl is fictional; there are no real-world photographs of her. Every image on this site is AI-generated dramatization art, generated in-house, recorded in the image credits on this page, and labeled in its caption. No real people are depicted.
Quotations
The only verbatim quotation on this site is the app card line. All other "voice" lines are labeled character-voice interpretation.
