AI-generated scene of the violet palette in action
AI-generated dramatization art — a fictional character, not a depiction of a real person.

Behind the Design

How the "star violet girl" was visualized — the palette, the motifs, the reference art, and the making of this site.

The brief

The character arrived as three words from the Vizlings app: “star violet girl.” The design task was to turn that into a complete visual world: a heroine whose every image reads as hers — violet, stellar, young, incandescent — without ever repeating the look of the other character sites. (The standing rule: every character gets their own visual world.)

The palette

Violet is the character’s primary color — her energy, her hair, her emotional register. The design notes call it “the color of becoming”: not the red of war, not the blue of calm, but the in-between color of a star being born.

Magenta is the accent — the hot edge of her power, the color of the Stardust Blast at full bloom. Where violet is Neris at rest, magenta is Neris at work.

Starlight white is the relief: the suit’s white panels, the silver streaks in her hair, the page backgrounds. It keeps the violet from going murky and gives the energy something to bloom against.

The motifs

Energy wisps — the braided ribbons of violet and magenta light that wreathe her when she powers up — are the site’s signature motif. They appear in the artwork, in the CSS (the header’s animated wisp gradient), and in the section dividers. They’re doing narrative work, not just decoration: the wisps are the visible form of the Violet Starweave, the thing she shapes.

Stardust — scattered star particles — textures the backgrounds. The dark theme is a deep-space field; the light theme is dawn over the nebula, violet-tinged and bright.

The starburst — her eight-rayed emblem — appears as a favicon-scale mark in the site’s headings and as the bullet motif in lists. It’s her sigil, and the site treats it that way.

The character look

Every generated image on this site uses one fixed character description, so Neris reads as the same person everywhere: a young woman with shoulder-length violet-tinted hair streaked with silver starlight, glowing violet eyes, and the violet-and-white energy-weave suit with its starburst emblem. The art direction is cinematic sci-fi anime — stylized, expressive, and clearly dramatized rather than photorealistic.

Twelve images were generated in-house , all labeled AI-generated dramatization art in their captions and in the provenance record. No real people are depicted anywhere on this site — the character is fictional, and the art is honest about being invented.

The site design

The site’s theme is a nebula: deep violet-black in dark mode, dawn-violet in light mode, with wisp gradients, stardust textures, and starlight-white type. It shares its structure with the sibling character sites (same navigation pattern, same accessibility features — skip link, theme toggle with localStorage, responsive layout) but none of their look: no chalkboards, no manuscripts, no broadsheets. Just stars.

Accessibility was built in, not bolted on: every image carries alt text, the theme toggle respects prefers-color-scheme, motion is reduced for users who ask for it, and the mockup stream player is fully labeled.

The writing approach

The copy was written to a consistent in-world bible: fixed dates in fictional cycles, fixed names, fixed mechanics for the powers, and a fixed rule that every signature line is labeled as fictional character dialogue. The methodology page states the approach plainly: this is a fan reference for a fictional character, and it never pretends otherwise.

Source notes

This page describes the making of a fan reference for a fictional character. All design decisions concern the invented “Neris Sen” character concept. Images are AI-generated dramatization art produced in-house ; see the provenance record on the Sources page.
