The runaway bubble

The festival anchor stone rises into the sky inside a whale-shark-sized bubble. The crowd goes from gasp to cheer in four seconds flat. The moment Coral Splash became a reef legend.

The Spiral's debut

Half a lap down in the championship, she invents a new move mid-race and wins going away. The sketch-shrimp's drawing of the finish — Coral Splash cresting the spiral, the crowd a blur of joy — hangs in the Pearl Palace.

Night of the humming

Alone on the reef edge in a storm, humming reef-song until the reef answers. The quietest great moment: no crowd, no trophy, just a young dragon and the dark water, singing it calm.

Grump smiles

The first Bubble Blessing

Greeting the caravans

Every migration season, Coral Splash appoints herself official greeter and leads the turtle caravans into the Shallows with a bubble arch and a personal welcome for every calf. The caravans now time their arrival for her.
