Episodes

Scene guides for Coral Splash's best-known fan adventures — little stories you can read in a few minutes each.
How to read these
Each episode is a short fan-written scene: a setup, a splashy middle, and a gentle landing. They're written to be read aloud — reef-storytelling style.
The episodes
The First Bubble Ring
Hatching day. A pearl-shelled egg, a nervous seahorse midwife, and a hatchling whose first breath becomes a perfect ring of bubbles. The nursery has told this story a thousand times. It never gets old.
Kelp Classroom Flood
Coral Splash "improves" the nursery currents. The kelp classroom becomes the kelp swimming pool. Brine's lecture on responsibility is interrupted when he has to be rescued from a floating desk. Moral, per Brine: "Fun needs drainage."
The Anchor Stone
Festival of Tides. One small dignified bubble becomes one enormous undignified one. The anchor stone rises, the crowd gasps, the foam falls like glitter snow. The elders look at each other and — wisely — applaud.
Three Losses at the Rings
Her first racing season: last place, second-to-last place, and a disqualification for "excessive celebration mid-race." Brine takes her on as a student. The training is brutal. The student is worse. Somehow it works.
The Spiral's Debut
Championship day. Half a lap down, Coral Splash invents the Splash Spiral mid-race — a rising corkscrew current that slingshots her past the leaders. The crowd's cheer is heard in the Singing Caves. Grump claims he "merely blinked."
Night of the Humming
The storm story. Young Coral Splash, alone on the reef edge, hums reef-song into the dark water until the reef answers. In the morning the Shallows are battered but whole, and the elders look at her differently.
Grump Smiles
The festival finale. Cameras — well, the reef equivalent (a very fast sketch-artist shrimp) — catch the grumpy eel smiling during the Splash Blessing. He has denied it for three festivals running. The sketch is framed in the Pearl Palace.
