Artifacts

The treasures of Coral Splash's world — magical objects from fan lore, each with a story.
The artifacts
The Heartpearl
A pearl the size of a dragon's heart, warm as sunbeam water, kept in the Pearl Palace. Legend says it beats in time with the reef itself. Coral Splash once held it during the storm night — fan lore says that's when she learned reef-song. It has not left the palace since, which she considers "extremely rude, honestly."
The Tidecaller Trident
A small trident of living coral, light as driftwood, that hums when the currents shift. It chooses its bearer; it chose Coral Splash by floating directly to her and bonking her on the nose. She uses it to start races, conduct bubble choirs, and — once — as a backscratcher. The elders pretended not to see.
The Shell Locket
A gift from Luma the jellyfish: a tiny nautilus shell that glows with stored moonlight. Coral Splash wears it on night swims along the Twilight Slope. Inside, in bubble-speech pictograms only she can read, is the first message Luma ever "spoke" to her.
The Anchor Stone
Not magical, just heavy — the festival anchor stone she lifted with one giant bubble. It now sits in the Pearl Palace courtyard with a plaque that reads, in Brine's handwriting: "She did this. We all saw it. Do not attempt."
The Sketch of Grump Smiling
Framed in the Pearl Palace. Technically not an artifact. Functionally priceless. Grump has tried to buy it, steal it, and have it declared a forgery. The reef refuses on all counts.
