A note on fiction: Cassidy Brooks is an original fictional character from the Vizlings app. Everything on this page — her stories, sayings, timeline, companions, and territory — is fictional lore written for the character, not real-world history or fact.

Desert Beasts & Wild Wonders

The wild creatures of the fictional Redstone Territory, as Cassidy knows them. Fictional bestiary.

The Judge

A canyon condor with a nine-foot wingspan who circles Red Wash whenever a coach passes. Cassidy swears he counts the passengers. “He’s never lost one either,” she says.

Painted whiptails

Quick desert lizards whose tails flash blue in the heat. Cassidy uses them as living thermometers: “Whiptails out means the rocks’ll burn your boots. Plan accordingly.”

Javelina bands

Grumpy, near-sighted, and everywhere. Cassidy gives them the right of way. “You don’t argue with something that’s been here longer than the rocks.”

The mustang herd of Red Wash

A wild band Juniper’s mother came from. Cassidy visits them every spring and never takes one. “Some things you admire by leaving alone.”

The ghost elk of the Painted Canyon

Legend

Travelers swear a pale elk walks the canyon at dawn. Cassidy says it’s just an elk and the light playing tricks — but she tips her hat when she sees it, just in case.
