Methodology

The honesty rules behind a guide to someone who doesn't exist — and why they matter anyway.

The short version. Talen is a fictional AI chat character from the Vizlings app. This site never pretends otherwise. Everything here is either the app's own words (quoted verbatim), labeled fan writing, or labeled AI-generated art.

The rules

1. Fiction is stated, not implied. Every page carries the fact that Talen is a fictional persona. The footer of every page repeats it. No page lets a reader mistake lore for history or a persona line for a real quotation.

2. Canon vs. fanon. The only official text is the four-word card description (“head star blue elf”), quoted verbatim on Meet the Character. Everything else is fan writing for this guide, labeled as such. If the owner supplies official lore, it will be quoted verbatim and credited — and any fan lore it contradicts will be marked superseded, not silently rewritten.

3. Persona lines are not quotations. The Voice Lines page and the quote cards in the Social Pack contain original writing in Talen’s voice. They are never presented as words of a real person, and the site contains no “quotes” page that could be mistaken for one.

4. Art is labeled, always. Every illustration is AI-generated dramatization art, captioned as such. No real people are depicted. No historical images are used. The full prompt-and-label log is in the image credits on this page (see sources).

5. Uncertainty is marked. Where the fan lore is deliberately vague (the seventh volume, the shadow’s words), the text says so instead of inventing an answer. Gaps are left visible.
