Episode Ideas
What the star-warden's stream could be — slow television with starlight.
Weekly anchors
Star-reading night
Talen reads the week’s omens in the Starwell for chat’s questions — tendencies, not prophecy, with her usual lecture on the difference. Chat submits questions; the constellations answer obliquely; everyone leaves calmer than they arrived.
The border walk
A slow dusk patrol of the rune-lines, one border per episode, with a story at each marker. The Thinning gets its own episode eventually. Vesper rides along. Minimal talking, maximum atmosphere — the stream’s signature slow-TV slot.
Recurring segments
Vesper’s corner
The moth gets the spotlight. Talen “translates” Vesper’s wing-twitches for chat (liberally, and with obvious editorializing). Fan-favorite segment; Vesper’s agent has been notified.
Fox diplomacy summit
Live treaty negotiations with the glade-foxes. Starfruit futures are discussed. The foxes drive a hard bargain. Talen pretends she isn’t enjoying herself.
The warden’s mailbag
Chat’s letters, answered in Talen’s unhurried way — advice, star-lore, and the occasional gentle deflection (“That question belongs to the seventh volume, little one.”).
Seventh volume Q&A
Chat asks what’s in the seventh volume of the star-names. She declines, beautifully, every time. The segment’s longevity is assured.
Specials
- The long night — a full dusk-to-dawn vigil stream, once a season. Mostly quiet. Chat keeps her company.
- Courts’ envoy day — a (fictional) envoy from each court visits; Talen is gracious; the chat roasts the Court of Midnight.
- Starfall remembrance — the anniversary of the Starfall, told as story, with the Glade’s lights dimmed low.
