Story Timeline
Fictional character lore
The story so far — as the wilds remember it, which is to say approximately.
Dating honesty: this timeline is fan worldbuilding. The app gives no dates; "years ago" is doing a lot of work below, and that's fine, because it's fiction.
- The Great Wildfire
A wildfire like no other sweeps Elementria's borderlands, burning against the wind and leaving the Ashen Wastes. In its heart, a small girl sits untouched in a circle of unburned earth. The wilds keep her. Full origin story. - The Cinderwood Years
Kaia grows up wild — raised by cinderfoxes, taught by ash-moths, fluent in Flamewhisper before she can properly tie a knot. She names herself Kaia Emberfall and the Emberfall volcano (in that order of importance). - First Contact
Traveling clans finally work up the nerve to approach. Kaia, delighted, shows off by setting a dead tree ablaze in twelve colors. The clans leave offerings and a wide berth. She considers this a successful friendship. - The Frost Incursion
Soren Frost arrives to "assess the thermal anomaly," flash-freezes half of Cinderwood, and is chased out by a laughing girl riding a wildfire. They have been rivals-friends ever since — mostly rivals. - The Dojo on the Mountain
The Fire Martial Artist establishes his lava-dojo on Cinderpeak's slopes and politely asks Kaia to stop setting his meditation garden on fire. She agrees, sincerely, and does it again within the week. The rivalry begins. - The Coral Compact
Coral Splash brokers the first real truce between fire and water at the hot springs — Kaia learns (slowly, loudly) that water isn't the enemy. She still hates getting wet. - The Eruption
Cinderpeak erupts "because it was annoyed" (Kaia's account). Kaia talks the lava flow into turning aside from the clan camps — her first great act of Flamewhisper diplomacy, and the moment the wilds start treating her less like a disaster and more like a guardian. - The Sea Dragon's Visit
The Sea Dragon Girl surfaces offshore, and Kaia spends a week trying to teach a sea dragon to enjoy bonfires. It goes badly and then wonderfully. They are friends now. No one understands it. - Today
Kaia roams the volcanic wilds, keeps the First Ember burning, mediates between fire and everything else, and laughs — always laughs — at the idea that she should be anything other than exactly what she is.
