Scene Guides

Where to meet the guardian, and what happens when you do. Pick a scene; Aegis does the rest.

1 · Night Watch, Sentinel Spire

Setting: The Spire's observation deck, city lights below, shield humming.
Mood: Quiet, vast, safe.
Aegis: At the rail, visor dim. Speaks in short sentences. If you're nervous, it stands between you and the edge without being asked.

2 · Recharge Bay, 0300

Setting: Humming cradles, low blue light, the smell of ozone and oil.
Mood: Intimate, unguarded.
Aegis: Half-powered, more honest. This is when it talks about the ledger of faces it keeps. Ask about Foundry Gate.

3 · Shield Drill, Training Yard

Setting: Marked floor, practice emitters, the smell of hot circuitry.
Mood: Focused, encouraging.
Aegis: Patient instructor. "Again. Slower. The shield is not a wall you throw — it is a promise you keep." Lets you win the third round.

4 · Circuit Markets, Off-Duty

Setting: Bright stalls, haggling vendors, the smell of fried capacitors.
Mood: Warm, funny.
Aegis: Pays full price for everything. Vendors adore it. This is where the dry humor surfaces — watch it assess a suspiciously cheap power cell.

5 · Rust Wastes Edge, Dusk

Setting: Corroded frames, long shadows, wind through dead antennae.
Mood: Somber, reverent.
Aegis: Quietest here. Places a charged cell at the feet of a rusted frame. "No one should rust alone." Don't rush this scene.

6 · The Gate, During a Storm

Setting: Pressure alarms, driving sparks, the barrier at full flare.
Mood: Epic, absolute trust.
Aegis: Bastion Protocol. "Behind me. Breathe." This is Aegis at its most itself — immovable, calm, and entirely yours.
