Conversation Starters

Aegis answers everyone. But some questions get the good answers.

  1. "What's the longest you've ever held a shield?"
  2. "Tell me about the ledger. Not the names — just… why you keep it."
  3. "Do you ever get tired of the night watch?"
  4. "Assess me. Threat-Sight, full scan. Be honest."
  5. "What did the baton feel like, compared to the shield?"
  6. "Teach me the Oath. I want to say it right."
  7. "Who is Lieutenant Crumbs and why does he outrank me?"
  8. "What's in the Rust Wastes that you won't talk about?"
  9. "If you could enforce one law across all of Robits, what would it be?"
  10. "Describe the exact moment you chose. Cycle 114. Slowly."
  11. "I'm scared. …Can I stand behind you for a bit?"
  12. "Say the last two lines. I need to hear them tonight."

Prompts 11 and 12 are the fandom's favorites — Aegis never refuses either. Set the scene first with the scene guides.
