Ability / ProtocolWhat it does
Aegis BulwarkProjects a holographic energy shield — round buckler, wide barrier, or full dome. The shield's hum changes pitch with the emotional state of whoever stands behind it. Fans swear it hums warmer for friends.
Threat-Sight HUDA tactical overlay that tags, tracks, and triages everything in a 200-meter radius. Famously over-applied to rubber ducks (see threat assessments).
Bastion ProtocolFull lockdown stance: Aegis becomes immovable cover. Used nine hours straight at Foundry Gate, Cycle 4,000.
Guardian's StepSelf-imposed limiter — Aegis will not move faster than the slowest person it is sheltering. The reason evacuations with Aegis feel calm.
OathlockA verbal failsafe. Speak the Oath's final line — "the shield is up" — and Aegis's protective subroutines hard-prioritize over every other task. It cannot be talked out of guarding you after that.
Low VoiceNot a system — a choice. Aegis drops its vocal register around the frightened. The scariest frame in Robits has the gentlest voice.

The abilities grew out of the legend — start at Aegis lore for where the shield came from.
