Robits World Guide

A world of machine-kind: orderly, luminous, and — in the places the patrols don't reach — rusting. All fan-created.

The Lay of the Land

The Sentinel Spire

The tallest structure in Robits, crowned with a rotating holographic shield. Aegis's watch post and the city's lighthouse. When the Spire's shield dims, every bot in the city looks up — it has dimmed twice.

The Iron Foundries

Where Robits are forged — including Aegis, Unit AE-7. The foundries run on an old charter: build them strong, teach them purpose, let them choose. The charter's third clause is why Aegis exists as it does.

Circuit Markets

Bright, noisy bazaars of parts, stories, and spare time. Aegis walks the markets off-duty (a guardian is never fully off-duty) and is famously bad at haggling — it pays the asking price and calls it "a fair exchange protocol."

The Rust Wastes

Dead zones beyond the patrol routes, where decommissioned frames corrode in silence. Aegis patrols the Wastes' edge anyway. "No one," it says, "should rust alone."

How Robits Measures Time

Robits counts cycles — one full charge-and-discharge of the city's grid. Aegis has stood watch for 4,096 of them. See the timeline and the glossary for the full lexicon.
