Methodology
How this site is built — and the rules it will not break.
Neutrality
Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a living public figure leading a country at war. This site maintains a strictly neutral, encyclopedic tone: no endorsement, no attack language, no partisan framing. Descriptions of contested events report what is documented and attribute interpretations to their sources. The site does not take positions on the war’s politics, on Ukrainian domestic disputes, or on allied governments’ policies.
Verbatim quotation
Every quotation is verbatim as published by its cited venue, with venue and date. Translations from Ukrainian follow official English versions where available. Paraphrase is never presented as quotation. The Sayings page lists twelve verified quotations; the famous “ammunition, not a ride” remark is excluded because it is unconfirmed (see Public Record).
Uncertainty policy
Claims are labeled by their evidence:
- Confirmed — documented by primary sources or multiple reputable outlets.
- Reported but unconfirmed — carried by reputable outlets without primary confirmation. Flagged in the text, never asserted.
- Omitted — single-source claims, viral assertions, and anything unverifiable are left out entirely.
No casualty figures, polling numbers, or aid totals appear anywhere on this site: they are contested, constantly revised, and frequently weaponized. Their absence is deliberate.
Living-person policy
Private life is covered only where it is public and documented. Zelenskyy’s children are named — as public record — but nothing further is reported about them. Rumors about health, personal habits, or family members are not repeated except where a rumor is widespread enough to require checking, in which case it is checked and labeled (Public Record).
Wartime reporting
This is a reference site, not a newsroom. Wartime pages cover the documented public record — addresses, visits, decrees, summits — and do not attempt battlefield narration. Pages on the ongoing war are living documents, updated as the record develops; each carries its source notes so readers can check the basis of every claim.
Image honesty
Real photographs of the real person come only from Wikimedia Commons with verifiable licenses, and every one is recorded in the image credits on this page. The animated “Zelenski” character appears only as clearly labeled AI-generated dramatization art — a stylized 3D-animated-movie caricature, never photorealistic, captioned “AI-generated dramatization art — not a historical depiction” on every appearance. No AI-generated image depicts the real person.
Corrections
Errors are corrected openly: the correction is noted on the affected page’s source notes with a date. Readers who spot an error are invited to check the cited source first — every factual claim traces to one.
