An honest record of where everything on this site comes from.
The character
The Dark Fantasy Fighter is an original character of the Vizlings app — a fictional creation, not a historical figure, not a mythological one. There is no real-world person, legend, or text behind him. Everything biographical on this site beyond the app bio is original lore written for this site.
The public bio
Quoted verbatim on meet the fighter and the home page:
“A blade, a bridge, and weather with opinions. He guards the storm fortress and measures people by their questions. Bring a good one.”
— Public character bio, Vizlings app
The style reference
The owner’s character art — 03_character_dark_fantasy_fighter_fortress.jpg on vizlings.com — was used as a style reference only. It is never displayed raw on any public page of this site. All artwork here is AI-generated dramatization art made in-house, in the spirit of that reference: a dark armored swordsman, a stone storm bridge, a brooding fortress.
The lore
The fortress Stormhold, the Span, the sword Answer, the Tempest, the three trials, the Oath, the Code, the challengers, the bestiary, the timeline, and all in-character sayings are original fiction developed for this site, consistent with the app bio. Within the site they are presented through the device of “the fortress chronicles” — an invented in-fiction record. The methodology page explains how that device is handled.
The images
See the image captions for credits and context. Illustrated character art is a dramatization.
What this site does not claim
- No real-world historical claims. The timeline’s “fortress reckoning” dates correspond to nothing.
- No real quotations. The sayings page labels every line as in-character voice.
- No live stream. The stream page’s player is a labeled mockup placeholder.
Source notes
- This page is itself a source note. For how the lore-device is handled editorially, see methodology.
