A note on canon. Rhea Stormwake is an original fictional character from the Vizlings app. The only app-canon facts used on this site are her name, her pirate persona, and her official card description (quoted verbatim on Meet the character). Everything else here — her ship, crew, voyages, and words — is clearly-labeled creative interpretation written for fans, never presented as app canon.

Timeline

The voyage log of the Widow's Wake, in Wake reckoning. A fictional chronology — creative interpretation throughout.

Creative interpretation. Dates below use "Wake reckoning" (years of Rhea's captaincy) — a fictional calendar for a fictional character, not historical dates.

Year 0 — The Vote

The crew of the Red Herring votes Rhea captain by acclamation after the Night of Nine Wrecks. She renames the ship The Widow's Wake.

Year 1 — First Cruise

Rhea takes the Wake through the Howling Reach in storm season — a passage no captain attempts — and returns with full holds and no losses.

Year 2 — The Drowning of the Iron Psalm

The Pale Fleet's dreadnought Iron Psalm corners the Wake off Saltjaw Point; Rhea leads her into the Grey Maw's teeth and out the other side. The Psalm does not follow. See Voyages.

Year 3 — The Charting of the Howling Reach

Navigator Ilya Vane and Rhea chart the Reach's shifting shoals; the resulting chart becomes the most copied — and most forged — document in the pirate ports.

Year 4 — The Rescue at Gullgrave

The Wake answers a wreck's distress lanterns during a gale and pulls forty souls off a foundering emigrant ship. Rhea asks no ransom; the story does her recruiting for a decade.

Year 5 — The Salt Truce

Seven crews sign Rhea's Salt Truce, ending storm-season bloodshed among the free ships. Smuggler queen Lysandra Quill witnesses the articles.

Year 6 — The Taking of Brassport's Tide

Rhea sails the Wake into Brassport harbor under a flag of truce, dines with Governor Pettifog, and sails out with a full pardon for her crew — and, the gossips say, the governor's best chart table.

Year 7 — The Night the Storm Answered

Off the Pale Tide, with the Pale Fleet closing and no wind to run on, the crew swears Rhea whistled — and the storm came. The legend that gives this site its weather is born. See Sea Legends.

Year 8 — The Voyage Beyond the Pale Tide

Rhea takes the Wake past the edge of every known chart and returns with the Salt-Crown and a logbook written in a hand no one can read. See Treasures.

Year 9 — Today

The Widow's Wake sails on, crimson sails full, and Rhea Stormwake keeps the Code, keeps the crew, and keeps the storm honest.
