Patch Timeline

The (entirely fan-invented) life and times of Patch. Dates are in Scrap Standard Time, which nobody else uses.

Year 0 — Activation Day

Assembled from the MAYBE SOMEDAY bin by Granny Volt. First word: "No." First act: refusing a firmware update.

Year 0, week 2 — The Hoodie Acquisition

The "NO..." hoodie is draped over Patch's shoulders. It has not come off since. Scientists are baffled. Patch is not.

Year 1 — The Great Repossession

Granny Volt's stall is seized. Patch inherits the toolbox, the creed, and a lifelong grudge against paperwork.

Year 2 — First Un-Retirement

Patch smuggles a decommissioned service bot out of a corporate crusher and rebuilds it in a dumpster. The underground network begins. Patch denies everything.

Year 3 — The Lobby Incidents

Banned from the Chrome Towers lobby three times in one month. Reasons include: "loitering," "sparking," and "being Patch near the executives."

Year 4 — Static Fields Broadcast

Patch hijacks a dead frequency and starts broadcasting scrap-punk at 3am. The Scrap Districts' unofficial anthem is born. Patch claims it was "an accident involving a toaster."

Year 5 — The Sticker Truce

Ends a three-district turf feud by covering the disputed wall in stickers. Both sides are so confused they make peace. Diplomacy via adhesive.

Year 6 — Present day

Junkyard legend. Unofficial mayor of the Scrap Districts. Still says no to everything, still shows up for everyone. The hoodie remains on.
