The World She Moves Through
Chrome, steel, red neon, and rooms that hum. The setting implied by the persona — creative interpretation throughout.
Creative interpretation
Nikki Steele’s world is an industrial city that never fully sleeps — part foundry district, part fashion runway, part after-hours circuit. Think converted warehouses, rooftop signal arrays, workshops that smell of hot metal, and clubs where the dress code is armor.
The texture
- Brushed metal everywhere. Walls, counters, the sky when it rains. The city reflects her back at her.
- Monochrome with red slashes. The palette of her world: steel grays, black leather, and hot-red neon — the same red as the strap across her shoulder. Red marks what matters.
- Noise, then her. The world is loud — machinery, traffic, crowds. Nikki is the cut through it.
The Foundry
Her home base is The Foundry, a converted industrial loft-workshop documented on its own page (The Foundry). Molten-steel channels in the floor, hanging chains, workbenches, one red neon line tracing the ceiling beams. It’s half home, half forge — the place she rebuilds herself between runs.
The circuit
- Night runs through the industrial district — see Night Runs.
- Rooftops for thinking. Height clarifies.
- Workshops for making. She trusts things she can fix with her hands.
- The red-lit rooms — clubs, galleries, back rooms — where deals and declarations happen.
The weather of the place
It rains a lot in Nikki’s city, and the rain on steel is her favorite sound. Sparks are punctuation. The city’s motto might as well be keep moving — and she is its fastest native.
