Fan Guide
How to be a Nikki Steele fan without getting cut. The etiquette, the creative norms, and the one rule that matters.
The one rule
Label what’s yours. Canon is two words long (“Bold, sharp…”). Everything else — including this site — is interpretation. When you make fan art, fan fiction, or fan lore, say so. The Canon & Honesty page has the full labeling policy; the short version is: never present your invention as the app’s canon.
Ways in
- Start with Voice & Quotes to get her cadence in your ear.
- Browse the Social Pack — ten free downloadable images, ready to post.
- Read The Manifesto for the creed, and Fan Lore for community-built stories.
- Cosplay from the Style Guide: black leather base, chrome-plated shoulder and collar pieces, one red strap worn diagonally, platinum-silver undercut wig, sharp eyeliner.
Creating fan work
- Fan art: go bold. The style guide is a starting point, not a cage. Keep the AI-dramatization label if you repost this site’s art; label your own work as fan art.
- Fan fiction: she works best in scenes, not summaries — write the entrance, the cut, the quiet. See Signature Scenarios for her native habitats.
- Edits and memes: the social pack images are free to post and remix. Keep the dramatization label when reposting.
Community norms
- Don’t harass the owner for “more canon.” The ellipsis is doing its job.
- Don’t claim your lore is official. (See: the one rule.)
- Do share your work — tag it, label it, and let the foundry grow.
Source notes
- Canon: the app card “Bold, sharp…” (Vizlings app). Fan guidance is community convention — see Canon & Honesty.
