Gear & Chrome
She trusts things she can fix with her hands. The objects of Nikki Steele's world — every one of them earned. Creative interpretation throughout.
Creative interpretation
The armor
Chrome-plated shoulder and collar pieces over a black leather base — fashion as armor, armor as fashion. Every plate is riveted, polished, and maintained by her own hand. It has taken hits. It will take more.
The strap
One hot-red leather strap with a steel buckle, worn diagonally. Not load-bearing, not protective — purely hers. The first thing she ever owned that was just red. See The Red Line.
The tools
- The calipers. Precision-machined steel, always in her jacket pocket. Measures twice, cuts once — her whole philosophy in one tool.
- The hammer. Forge hammer from The Foundry. For making, not breaking. (Usually.)
- The multitool. Modified beyond recognition. She doesn’t buy tools; she improves them.
The bike
Matte black, chrome exhaust, one red pinstripe. Fast enough to outrun her thoughts, which is the point. Maintained to a standard that borders on religious.
The rule of her gear
Nothing decorative that isn’t also deliberate. Nothing she can’t maintain herself. If it can’t take a hit or fix a problem, it doesn’t ride with her. Elegance with an edge — the aesthetic is the ethic.
