Doria Ragland
Her mother — a social worker and yoga instructor based in Los Angeles. She attended the 2018 wedding and has been publicly supportive of her daughter; she keeps a low public profile.
Thomas Markle
Her father — a retired television lighting director. He did not attend the 2018 wedding after reported health issues and staged-paparazzi-photo controversies; the relationship has been the subject of extensive press coverage. This site records only documented events, not the family’s private dynamics.
Trevor Engelson
Her first husband — a television and film producer. They married in Jamaica in September 2011 and divorced in 2013, before her relationship with Prince Harry.
Queen Elizabeth II
The late British monarch (1926–2022), Harry’s grandmother. She attended the 2018 wedding, granted the Sussex dukedom, and presided over the January 2020 Sandringham agreement on the couple’s new working arrangement.

Jessica Mulroney
Toronto-based stylist and, during the Suits years, a widely reported close friend. She attended the 2018 wedding. (Friendship status in later years has been press speculation; this site does not track it.)
Clare Waight Keller
The Givenchy artistic director who designed Markle’s 2018 wedding gown. The choice — a British designer heading a French house — was widely analyzed as a deliberate statement.
Bishop Michael Curry
The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, whose sermon on love at the 2018 wedding — quoting Martin Luther King Jr. — became one of the ceremony’s most discussed moments.
Christian Robinson
The illustrator of her children’s book The Bench (2021), a Caldecott honoree whose watercolor illustrations shaped the book’s reception.
