Why this site is careful
Meghan Markle is one of the most written-about living people on earth, and much of what circulates about her — quotations, motives, money, palace intrigue — is unsourced, exaggerated, or invented. This site keeps a strict line: verifiable public facts only, quotations only where a primary or reliable secondary source exists, and disputed claims presented with their attribution rather than as settled truth.
What the record establishes
- Born Rachel Meghan Markle on 4 August 1981 in Los Angeles, California, to Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle.
- Graduated from Northwestern University’s School of Communication in 2003 (theatre and international studies), then built an acting career in Los Angeles and Toronto.
- Played Rachel Zane on the USA Network series Suits (2011–2018) — 108 episodes across seven seasons — her signature role.
- Ran the lifestyle website The Tig (2014–2017) and worked as a humanitarian advocate with UN Women and World Vision before her marriage.
- Married Prince Harry on 19 May 2018 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, becoming the Duchess of Sussex.
- With Harry, stepped back from senior royal duties in early 2020, moved to California, and founded the Archewell Foundation and its media arms.
- Mother of Archie (b. 2019) and Lilibet (b. 2021). She retains the style Duchess of Sussex; she and Harry agreed in 2020 not to use the HRH styles.
The animated stream
A separate project — a YouTube live channel featuring an animated, dramatized Meghan character — is documented on the Stream page. That page describes the character as AI-generated dramatization art, not a historical depiction, and currently embeds a temporary owner-supplied mockup video, clearly labeled as a placeholder rather than a live broadcast. The character’s roster card and downloadable art live on Meet the Character and the Social Pack page.
