Methodology
The rules this site holds itself to.
Neutrality
Meghan Markle is a living public figure about whom strongly partisan narratives circulate. This site takes no position in those narratives. It covers the public record — career, advocacy, documented events, published works — in encyclopedia tone, and it declines speculation about private motives, family conflicts, or palace intrigue beyond what the principals have said on the record.
Quotations
A quotation appears on this site only if it can be traced to a primary source (her speech, writing, or recorded interview) or to reliable contemporary reporting that quotes it directly. Each quotation names its source. Lines that circulate online with her name attached but no traceable source are excluded — see the misattributed section of Sayings.
Dates and facts
Dates use documented evidence: official announcements, publication dates, and contemporary reporting. Approximate dates are labeled (e.g., “c. 1988”). Where accounts conflict — the bridesmaid-dress story, financial arrangements, deal values — the site presents each account with its attribution and a verdict (confirmed, disputed, unverifiable), rather than choosing a side. See Reception.
Uncertainty
Uncertainty is flagged, not smoothed over. Reported-but-unconfirmed figures (Netflix and Spotify deal values, wedding audience estimates) are always labeled as reported-not-confirmed. The site does not fill gaps with inference: if no public reason was given for an event (such as The Tig’s closure), no reason is supplied.
Living-person scope
As a biography of a living person, this site limits itself to the public record. It does not publish private addresses, track her children beyond documented public facts, or repeat unverified claims about her family. Corrections are a standing commitment: where the record changes, the site changes.
Images
Historical and contemporary photographs are real, licensed images from Wikimedia Commons, credited per file in the image credits on this page. No AI-generated image on this site depicts the real Meghan Markle — the generated art depicts only the animated Vizlings-style character, and every such image is labeled “AI-generated dramatization art — not a historical depiction.” Raw character sheets are never displayed on public pages.
