Is Martin Tidewell a real person?
No. Martin Tidewell is an original fictional character from the Vizlings app. His official app card description is two words long: “Blue Sailor.” Everything else on this site — the seas, the ship, the crew, the voyages — is fan-made fiction.
Where does the lore come from?
From fans, including the authors of this site. With only “Blue Sailor” as canon, the community has collaboratively dreamed up the Blue Seas, the Second Dawn, and Martin’s crew. Think of it as a shared campfire story that got out of hand — in the best way.
What does the character owner say?
The owner’s official bio has not been supplied yet. The Meet Martin page holds a placeholder for it, and we will not invent one. If you are the owner, we’d love to feature your words.
Are the images real?
Every image on this site is AI-generated dramatization art, made in-house in a stylized animated look. They show an original fictional character — never a real person, never a real place. Each caption says so.
Can I use the shanties / art / quotes?
How do I join the community?
Start at Community — fan meetups, the shanty sing-along nights, and the annual Lantern-Isle regatta (fictional waters, real friendships).
Why is there a stream page if nothing is live?
The Stream page explains the live-channel concept and currently embeds a clearly labeled temporary mockup video — a placeholder, not a broadcast. The real channel connects at launch.
