The Dossier

Everything the family will admit to, and a few things it won't. Filed under: fiction.

Fiction — dramatization
This dossier is fan-written dramatization for an original fictional character. The only verified lines are the name and the truncated app card description; the rest is invented for fun.
### File no. 001 — "The Don" **Name:** Don Salvatore. **Species:** Humanoid dinosaur (tyrannosaur build, per the fan art). **Standing:** Charismatic, and — per the app card — *undisputed...* something. The file ends there, and so does the card. **Affiliation:** The Scaled Syndicate, Fossil Bay. **Position:** Don. There is no higher chair. **Known associates:** [Frankie Fossil](/associates) (consigliere), [Big Al](/associates) (enforcer), [Lucy "Songbird"](/associates) (lounge singer), [The Professor](/associates) (accountant), [Joey Two-Claws](/associates) (driver), [Silas](/associates) (dockmaster). **Habits:** Speaks softly; the room leans in. Adjusts his cufflinks before delivering bad news. Never hurries — hurrying is for prey. Takes his coffee black and his loyalty absolute. **Distinguishing marks:** Gold scale medallion, worn always. Pinstripes, tailored. A grin that has ended negotiations. **File status:** FICTION. This folder contains no real person.

What the card tells us

The Vizlings app card gives us three usable facts: he is charismatic, he is a humanoid dinosaur, and he is undisputed — followed by an ellipsis where the app cuts the text off. Everything in this dossier extrapolates from those three words plus the “Mafia” category, in the spirit of a 1930s mob picture. The extrapolation is the entertainment; the three words are the canon.

What the street says

The in-world rumor mill — entirely invented — claims he once settled a dock war with a single dinner, that he personally wrote the Code in one sitting, and that no one has ever seen him raise his voice. The file notes, dryly, that dinosaurs cannot raise voices above a certain register anyway.
