The Crew
Six chairs at the long table, six dinosaurs the Don trusts with his life — which, given the teeth involved, is saying something.
Every associate below is an original fictional character invented for this fan site. None appear in the Vizlings app; the app publishes no crew.
Frankie Fossil — consigliere
A triceratops of advanced years and unhurried speech, Frankie has advised three dons and buried two. He met the Don on the docks in ‘21 and taught him the books. His counsel always begins the same way: “Boss, sit down.” The Don always sits.
Big Al — enforcer
An ankylosaur built like a bank vault with a tail club the family calls “the gavel.” Big Al has never raised his voice; he has never needed to. He runs door security at the Copper Scale and weeps, openly, at Lucy’s second set.
Lucy “Songbird” — lounge singer
A pterosaur with a four-octave range and a past nobody asks about. She debuted at the Scale in ‘52 and never left. The Don extends her engagement every year with the same line: “The room needs you.” The room agrees.
The Professor — accountant
A troodon — small, quick, and the cleverest creature in Fossil Bay — who found three errors in the week’s books before ordering his first drink in ‘46. He keeps the family legitimate on paper and terrifying in practice. Hobbies: arithmetic, silence.
Joey Two-Claws — driver
A young raptor with fast feet and a faster car. He drives the Don’s black sedan and is forbidden, by direct order, from hurrying — an order he violates daily and is forgiven for nightly. The Don’s line about prey was coined for him.
Silas — dockmaster
A spinosaurus who runs Bone Harbor’s piers with a crane operator’s precision and a sailor’s vocabulary. Every crate that moves in Fossil Bay moves past Silas, and Silas remembers every one. The neutrality of the docks is his daily work.
