Deep dive // For fans

Fan Guide

New to the Meridian Sector? Start here: the reading order, the essentials, and the one rule — label the fiction.

Fiction note: Cass Arden is a fictional character from the Vizlings app. This guide is for fans of the fan-built lore on this site — all of it invented, all of it labeled. See Methodology.

Suggested reading order

The five-minute version: Start Here, then Sayings — the character’s voice is the fastest way in.

The full backstory: Lore → Timeline → Mission Archive. That sequence takes you from habitat kid to the Long Dark with the in-world dates to hold it together.

The craft: Hero Design → Costume & Gear → Behind the Design — how the character was built, inside and out.

The people: Team → Allies & Rivals — the crew is half the character.

The deep end: Abilities, Explained, Starship & Tech, StarTeam History, World Guide, Training — in whatever order your curiosity pulls you.

Art notes

Every illustration on this site is AI-generated dramatization art, generated in-house for this fan reference — captioned as such on every figure. The character look is held consistent across all images: short dark-brown hair, warm tan skin, confident grin, bulky orange-and-graphite EVA suit with mission patches, helmet visor up. Downloadable character art lives on the Social Pack page — ten cards, free to share with the caption intact.

The stream concept

The Stream page documents the concept for a YouTube live channel starring an animated Cass Arden character — currently a clearly labeled temporary mockup, not a live broadcast. If the channel launches, this guide will add a watch section with real schedule info. Until then: the mockup is a placeholder, and the page says so.

Sharing responsibly — the one rule

Label the fiction. If you share Cass’s lines, art, or lore anywhere, keep the labels attached: the sayings are fictional character dialogue, the images are AI-generated dramatization art, the missions didn’t happen. The whole project only works if the fiction never leaks into anyone’s sense of reality. “Nobody drifts alone” applies to readers too — don’t leave anyone adrift about what’s real.

What’s still open

The honest gaps, stated plainly: the owner’s official bio hasn’t been released (when it lands, fan lore yields to it wherever they conflict); the Cold Berth sabotage thread is unresolved by design; Voss’s succession, the Jackals’ future, and Cass’s eventual fate are unwritten. A fan guide should tell you where the map ends. This is the edge — everything past it is yours to imagine, labeled as yours.

The one-page lore cheat sheet

For the fan who wants the whole fiction on an index card:

Print it, bookmark it, argue about it — that’s what it’s for.
