through the year
Seasonal rhythms
Four seasons, one speed: unhurried.
🌸 Spring — the waking drift
Lotus buds return. capybara's naps shorten from "legendary" to merely "impressive." The ducks return from wherever ducks go and are welcomed like they never left.
☀️ Summer — the melon season
Peak snack. Peak float. The pond at its warmest and the naps at their deepest. The melon summer of legend happened in a summer very much like this one. See the timeline.
🍂 Autumn — the misty stretch
Morning mist thickens; drifts get dreamier. capybara grows a slightly thicker coat and a slightly deeper commitment to the sand-bank sprawl.
❄️ Winter — the great rest
The pond cools; the naps lengthen. Legend holds that one winter nap lasted the entire season and capybara woke up "feeling basically the same, but more so." The companions keep the back warm in shifts.
