Design Notes
How this site looks, and why. Every image here was generated in-house with Muse's — AI-generated dramatization art, labeled everywhere it appears.
The visual identity
The design brief was churning whitewater: foam white, deep river teal, bright spray cyan. The page background carries slanted current-line streaks; headings sit under a wave-crest underline; dividers burst into spray dots. The type is bold and condensed, set uppercase like a river guide's warning sign. Light mode is foam-mist bright; dark mode drops into the deep river with spray glowing from below.
The character design
Whit is designed as a rapids spirit, not a person: a humanoid figure of churning white foam over a deep-teal water body, with a cresting foam wave for hair and spray trailing from the limbs. No face beyond suggestion — the energy does the talking. Every prompt in the art set repeats this description so the character stays recognizable across all 24 images. See Meet the Character for the portrait.
What was avoided
- No real people, ever. Whit is fictional; the art never depicts a real person.
- No faked history. Nothing here pretends to be a photograph, a document, or a real place.
- No text baked into art. The social pack images are text-free; captions live in HTML where screen readers and translators can reach them.
- No shared template look. This site's rapids identity was designed independently of its sibling character sites.
