The Loaded Question round
Each player asks a question with no safe answer — “When did you stop believing the ending?” — and the table votes for the most interesting answer. Points for wit, not for winning.
The Misdirection Confession
Everyone confesses a small embarrassing truth. One confession is secretly hiding a bigger, funnier one. The table guesses which. Losers buy the next round of applause.
Mask Night
Everyone arrives wearing a mask — literal or metaphorical (a new opinion, a borrowed accent for the evening). At midnight, masks come off in reverse order of honesty. The Eleventh Mask award goes to the best final reveal.
Twist-spotting challenges
- Clue hunt: re-read the stories and find the planted clue in each. First to find all four wins the Magpie’s prize (bragging rights).
- Twist draft: pick a fairy tale and give it a twist gallery twist. The Kindness Twist is the hardest mode.
- Chronicler mode: write up a game night in perfect deadpan footnotes. Bonus points if The Liar (whoever’s playing them) cracks.
Community etiquette
The trickster’s code applies to fans too:
- Trick upward, never wound. Pranks target pomposity, not people.
- Everyone’s in on it — eventually. A joke the target never gets to laugh at is just mean.
- Label the fiction. Fan art, fanfic, and theories get the same honest labels this site uses.
- Spoiler policy: new twists stay under spoiler tags for a week. The Spoiler is the natural enemy; don’t be the Spoiler.
Making fan art
The social pack has downloadable AI-generated art of the character for wallpapers and posts. If you make your own, label AI-generated work honestly and never present it as official Vizlings art.
