Fictional character. Soren Frost is an original character from the Vizlings app (Elementria world). Everything on this page beyond the app’s card description is fan-style worldbuilding — invented lore for a fictional character, not fact.

Frosthold Citadel is the Wardens’ seat, carved over centuries from the living glacier on the cliff called the White Anvil. It is fortress, school, and lighthouse at once — and, for Soren, the first place that ever felt like it was built for someone like him. Walk it the way the lore walks it: from the gates inward.

The Rune-Etched Gates

Two slabs of blue glacier-ice, each taller than three men, hung in frames of black basalt. The runes etched into them glow faintly on storm nights — a beacon for travelers, and a warning for raiders: the gates have never been taken. Soren climbed the nine days’ switchback stairs to them as a boy; he still touches the left-hand rune when he passes, out of a habit he won’t explain.

The Hall of Echoes

The great hall, where the Warden’s Oath is taken kneeling on the ice. The hall’s acoustics are the Citadel’s famous quirk: a whisper at one end arrives, a breath later, at the other — the Wardens say the hall remembers every oath ever spoken in it. Soren took his oath here at seventeen. On quiet nights he comes back alone, and the fandom has decided he’s listening.

The Frozen Throne

At the hall’s far end sits a throne of frozen crystal — and it sits empty, by law older than the Citadel’s oldest wall. The Wardens serve; none rule. Visiting dignitaries always ask; the Wardens always answer the same way: “The cold needs keepers, not kings.” Soren has never sat in it. No one has.

The Vault of First Frost

Below the hall, behind ice doors that only open for two wardens together, the Vault keeps the relics: the Crown of the First Frost, the Everfrost Shard, and the tablets — including the one Issolde read Soren’s oath from. The air in the Vault is the coldest in the Citadel, and even Soren doesn’t linger.

The Warden’s Quarters

Soren’s cell is famously spare: a bunk, a brazier he rarely lights, Maren’s letters in a sealskin bundle, and the river stone on the sill where the morning light catches it. Brynja calls it “a room with one warm thing in it, on purpose.” The fandom has adopted the line as the whole character in miniature.

Lore status: invented. Frosthold and every hall in it are fan creation; the app’s card says only “Ice warrior” in the world of Elementria. See methodology.
