Her story in order. Every date below is fictional — this is her world's chronology, not history.

All entries are fictional — the in-world chronology written for this character. Dates are relative (“Year 1”, “Year 4”) to avoid any implication of real-world history.

Year 1 — Recruitment

Recruited into the Night Operations Division from a conventional service background she doesn’t discuss. Training cadre notes (fictional): “Silent before she was skilled. Skilled before she was fast. Patient before all of it.” She writes the first draft of what becomes the Code of Shadows in a training journal.

Year 2 — The quiet years

Probationary operations: surveillance support, perimeter mapping, camera-loop drills. She completes her first solo ghost infiltration — a dock office records retrieval — and the after-action report contains the sentence that follows her career: “No evidence of entry was found, including by us.”

Year 3 — Specter Cell forms

Assigned command of a new four-person cell. She picks Sable for tech, Hana for medicine, Rook for overwatch — and writes the abort pact herself: anyone can call it, no rank required. The cell’s first operation together is the Meridian Ledger job (Mission Stories).

Year 4 — The Undermarket Run

The snatch operation beneath the storm drains. First confirmed encounter with Ronin-9 — a shadow in the same tunnel system, gone before contact. Vesper logs it as “possible mirror operative” and starts building the file that becomes the Adversaries page.

Year 5 — Operation Black Ember

The harbor warehouse fire. Eleven workers rescued, one warehouse lost, the Code tested at its hardest. The Ember Coat enters city legend (Legends & Rumors). Vesper keeps the scorched suit. Full case study: Operation Black Ember.

Year 6 — The Lotus pushes back

The Crimson Lotus syndicate, stung by the Harbor Ledger extraction, starts hunting the cell in earnest — bought cameras, compromised informants, a price on “the woman in black with red seams.” Specter Cell goes fully dark for four months and still completes six operations. The Lotus never gets closer than a rumor.

Year 7 — Present day

Active. The cell runs two to three operations a month. Ronin-9 is still at large. The Code holds. Dawn remains the deadline.
