Lyra is stitched from midnight-indigo cloth and silver thread during a full moon. Her first sight is the sky; it shows.

She embroiders her first constellation — the Thimble — onto a scrap of sailcloth. The great quilt begins.

Stitchwick helps raise the Star-Chart Tower from sewn-together sails. Lyra cries; the sails hold.

During a lunar eclipse, Lyra famously naps through the entire event in Crater Meadow, then embroiders it from memory. Perfectly.

Lyra's gentle night-talk makes her one of Stitchwick's most-visited dreamers. She remains serenely unaware of the count.

She charts the sky, tends the tidepools, and reminds everyone that even the dark has a pattern.
