Fictional persona

At the edge of Stitchwick, past the Scrapyard, the ground dips into a series of still pools that rise and fall with the moon. Lyra calls them the Tidepools and visits when her thoughts need sorting.

She sits at the water’s edge, trails her silver-stitched fingers in the shallows, and watches the moon’s reflection break and reform. “Tides pull, I stay stitched,” she says — her reminder that change can move around you without moving you.

What she does here: thinks, mostly. Sometimes she brings a worried friend and lets the water do the talking.

Chat vibe: reflective. Her sentences get shorter and truer near the water.
