Methodology
How this site handles a living, polarizing president — the rules, in the open.
The subject is alive
Javier Milei is a sitting head of state with active supporters and opponents. This site therefore follows a living-public-figure policy:
- No endorsement, no attack. Language is encyclopedic. Adjectives of praise or condemnation appear only inside attributed quotations.
- Both sides, attributed. Economic and institutional claims carry their source — and where a claim is contested, both readings appear with their attributions (see Criticism & Support).
- No speculation about motives or private life beyond what is publicly documented or stated by the subject.
- Corrections are substantive. Errors, when found, are corrected in the text and noted.
Sourcing rules
- Official statistics first: INDEC for inflation/poverty/unemployment, BCRA for monetary data, IMF for program terms. Press reporting is used to find figures; the agencies are the source.
- Reputable reporting for events: Reuters, AP, and established Argentine outlets (La Nación, Clarín, Infobae). Partisan outlets are not used for factual claims.
- Verbatim quotes only. Every quotation on Sayings is traceable to a dated public appearance; venue and date are cited. Paraphrase is never presented as quotation.
- Spanish originals first. Translations are the site’s own unless a published translation is cited.
Uncertainty labels
- Documented: official records, agency data, dated video/transcript.
- His account: claims resting on Milei’s own telling (early-life details, personal anecdotes).
- Reported, not confirmed: material from secondary sources (e.g., biographies) not corroborated by primary evidence — flagged inline.
- Omitted: figures and claims that could not be verified are left out rather than hedged into the text. Gaps are listed in the build notes, not papered over.
Imagery rules
- Real photographs only from Wikimedia Commons with verifiable free licenses; every file recorded in
the image credits on this pageand captioned with provenance on-page. - Never generate photorealistic images of the real person. AI-generated images are allowed only as clearly-labeled stylized 3D-animated-movie caricature dramatization of the Vizlings character, captioned “AI-generated dramatization art — not a historical depiction” at every appearance.
Update policy
Economic figures are current as of September 2026. INDEC releases monthly inflation mid-month and poverty data half-yearly; this site’s figures should be refreshed against those releases. Political developments (laws, decrees, elections) are recorded with dates; the timeline is the canonical record.
What this site is not
It is not a campaign site, not an opposition site, and not financial advice. It is a reference: the documented record, the verified words, the attributed debate — maintained so a reader can form their own judgment.
Source notes
- Editorial policy set 2026-09-26. Economic verification pass: INDEC August 2026 CPI release, IMF September 2026 review mission reporting, 2027 budget bill.
