Public Record
The facts this site can verify — and a few widely repeated claims that don't survive checking.
Documented facts

- Legal outcomes: fined twice in Sweden in 2023 for disobeying police orders at oil-terminal blockades; cleared by a London court in February 2024 of the public-order offence arising from the October 2023 oil-conference protest (see Later Activism).
- 23 December 2025: arrested in London under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000 over a placard reading “I support the Palestine Action prisoners. I oppose genocide”; released on bail the same day, bailed to March 2026 (see Later Activism).
Common misstatements corrected
- “She never went back to school.” She did: she returned to school in 2020 and graduated from upper secondary school in June 2023.
- “She won the Nobel Peace Prize.” She was nominated (2019–2021, by parliamentarians who made their nominations public); she has not won it.
- “She founded Fridays for Future.” She began the school strike that inspired the movement; Fridays for Future grew as a decentralized, leaderless network.
- “Her sign said ‘School strike for climate’ from day one.” The original sign was in Swedish: “Skolstrejk för klimatet.”
- “The Madleen carried tons of aid.” The organizers themselves described a small symbolic cargo (baby formula, rice, medical supplies) — see Gaza Flotilla.
- “She was imprisoned after the October 2025 flotilla.” She was detained, then deported to Greece on 6 October 2025 — not imprisoned (see Gaza Flotilla).
What this site does not assert

- Participant counts for the flotillas are given as reported ranges; sources disagree on exact figures.
- Private-life details not in the public record are omitted entirely, per the Methodology.
