New to the tide-child? Start here — five minutes, and you'll speak a little Slowsong.
Welcome. This page is the fastest way into the world of the Sea Dragon Girl, a fictional character from the Vizlings app (world of Elementria).
Who she is, in thirty seconds
She is half girl, half tide. She lives far below the light line — the depth where sunlight fades out — in a trench called the Murmur. She speaks Slowsong, the slow language of deep water, in which a single sentence can take a whole tide to finish. She almost never comes to the surface. When she does, it is because someone was worth surfacing for.
Her public bio, verbatim from vizlings.com:
"Half girl, half tide. She speaks the slow language of deep water and surfaces only for people worth surfacing for. Ask her what lives below the light line — she might even tell the truth."
The three ideas that unlock everything
- The light line. Sunlight dies about two hundred meters down. Everything she cares about lives below it. The site treats the light line as a border between two worlds — and she is its keeper.
- Slowsong. Deep water carries sound for miles, so deep folk learned to speak slowly and mean it. Her dialogue on this site is written in that register: unhurried, tidal, honest.
- Worthiness. She has three tests for surfacers: listen without speaking, bring no nets, leave the water cleaner than you found it. Pass all three and she will rise for you.
