The Rind Games: Dax's Championship Arena

Sunseason's sporting carnival — and the stage where Dax Rind became a three-time champion.
The events
- Seed-spitting (marquee): distance and accuracy. Dax's valley record still stands.
- The melon relay: teams carry a prize melon over an obstacle course. Dropping it is a tragedy; the crowd treats it like theater.
- Rind-diving: at Citrus Docks — a high dive into the Lemonade Sea, judged on splash poetry.
- The pie-eating invitational: Georgia Melba's pies, twelve minutes, glory.
Dax's record
Three championships, one valley record, zero defeats. His winning spit in Year 412 was measured twice because the judges didn't believe the tape. He retired "while I'm still cute" and now coaches every sprout in the Vale — his students call his training "Coach Melon's Boot Camp (Blanket Optional)."
How to watch
Games run the second week of Sunseason in Sunshine Vale. Bring a blanket, arrive early, and never — never — stand downwind of the spitting line. That's free advice from the champion himself.
Dax's coaching motto: "Big melon energy. Plant your feet, pick your seed, and spit like the whole Vale is watching — because it is."
