Methodology
How we grow a legend responsibly — the house rules for writing fiction that never pretends to be fact.
What this site is
This site is original fictional worldbuilding for Camaleo, a persona from the Vizlings app. The seed material is minimal — a truncated app card reading “camaleo…” — and everything else is invented: the canopy, the grove, the quotes, the river. We treat it like writing a storybook bible, not a field guide.
Guardrails
- Fiction is labeled as fiction. Quotes are framed as in-character lore; the timeline documents story-eras; the footer says it on every page.
- No real creatures. Camaleo is an original fantasy creature. Real chameleons are wonderful and deserve accurate sources — this site isn’t one, and says so.
- Internal consistency. The lore keeps its promises: names, places, and running jokes (morning #1, the motto, the truncated card) stay consistent across pages.
- Honest sourcing. What little is sourced — the visible card text — is quoted exactly as seen on the sources page. What isn’t visible isn’t claimed.
- Honest art. Every image is generated in-house and captioned “AI-generated dramatization art.” No fake photos, no fake nature documentary.
The card policy
We quote “camaleo…” exactly as seen — truncated, with the ellipsis marking the screenshot edge. Inventing the hidden half of a card would be exactly the kind of fabrication this site exists to avoid.
