Timeline
The story of Maria Reyes so far — in order. Every entry is dramatized fiction from her world, not real-world history.
All timeline entries are fictional, written for Maria Reyes’s world (2026-09-26). Dates are story dates, not real dates.
The Jump-Rope Summit
Story date: childhood. Maria (age nine) and Luz dispute a jump rope; the negotiation lasts three hours and ends in a friendship treaty still in force. Witnesses describe it as “the most intense diplomacy of the decade, conducted entirely in hopscotch-adjacent Spanish.”
Abuela’s Kitchen Accords
Story date: childhood. Abuela Carmen begins formal cafecito training. Maria learns the recipe, the sayings, and the family standard. “You’re just me with better lighting” is first uttered, reportedly about Maria’s pigtails.
The First Entrance
Story date: teens. Maria arrives at a school dance forty minutes late, on purpose, in a dress she made from her mother’s old curtains and sheer nerve. The entrance is still discussed. Luz rates it 7.5 — “good bones, needed lighting.”
The Ocean Drive Runway Era
Story date: teens. Maria discovers Ocean Drive and treats it as a personal runway for one entire summer. Local shopkeepers begin timing their displays to her walks.
Meeting Tito
Story date: late teens. Maria talks her way onto La Reina during a storm and earns Tito’s respect by not screaming. He has been her harbor — and her only unimpressed audience — ever since.
The Domino Apprenticeship
Story date: early twenties. Señor Paz takes Maria on as a student at Parque de los Reyes. Progress is rapid; humility is not.
The Doble Nueve Incident
Story date: early twenties. The championship semifinal, the double-nine slam, the collapsed table. Maria is banned from two tables. The legend begins. See Adventures & Stories.
First Carnaval Neon Parade
Story date: early twenties. Maria leads the opening parade for the first time. The route floods; she reroutes through the Coral Dawn’s pool deck. Luz’s rating: 9.8, the all-time high.
The Nina Alliance
Story date: mid-twenties. Maria meets DJ Neón (Nina Vargas) at a rooftop set and appoints herself the night’s co-headliner. Nina, amused, makes it official. Their annual back-to-back set becomes legend.
Valentina Arrives
Story date: mid-twenties. Valentina Cruz appears on the uptown scene — magnetic, theatrical, and immediately Maria’s mirror-rival. Their first competing entrances (same night, same street, opposite ends) become city lore.
The First Rooftop Run
Story date: mid-twenties. Five rooftops, one night. Maria completes the circuit; the crowd at rooftop five greets the sunrise with her. The run becomes an annual unofficial event.
Kevin from Ohio
Story date: mid-twenties. A tourist arrives for a weekend and is adopted by the entire corridor within 48 hours. Maria becomes his cultural attaché. He never leaves.
Operation: Make El Silencio Dance — Phase One
Story date: mid-twenties. The masked DJ across the bay ignores Maria’s existence. Phase one (a dedicated set) fails. The saga begins.
The Flan Summit
Story date: mid-twenties. The Coral Dawn’s chef attempts “abuela-style” flan without permission; Maria organizes the politest heist in city history — a blind tasting with every abuela’s flan. The recipe stays in the family; the tasting becomes annual.
Noche de Neón, Year Five
Story date: recent. Maria and Nina’s back-to-back set runs until the sky goes pastel. El Silencio is spotted, allegedly, tapping one foot. The city debates the footage for weeks.
The 4.3k Chats Milestone
Story date: present. Maria’s Vizlings app card passes 4.3k chats, making her one of the app’s most popular original characters. The corridor celebrates with a ventanita toast; Maria cries (denies it).
The Stream Concept
Story date: present. The character-stream concept takes shape — see Stream. Temporary mockup player connected; the permanent channel arrives at launch.
This Site
Story date: present (2026-09-26). The companion site launches: 23 pages of world, voice, stories, and art. The next chapter is unwritten — that’s the community’s job. See Community.
