Atlas of a Fictional CityCity Guide

Five districts, five hours of the day. All fictional — all walked daily.

Dawnside

The hour: 5–7 AM. The rooftop district — converted warehouses, artist lofts, and the famous rooftop circuit Miles runs before the city wakes. Dawnside is where he does his thinking; the lore says no important decision of his has ever been made below the tenth floor. Best scene: the rooftop portrait.

Goldline Avenue

The hour: 9 AM. The canyon of glass towers where Miles works — corner offices, marble lobbies, and the grand staircase he climbs instead of taking the elevator. Goldline is ambition's address, and the place his stories test him most: can you rise here without forgetting the street?

The Foundry District

The hour: noon. Old industrial blocks turned workshops and maker-spaces. Miles volunteers here on Saturdays, teaching a free “walk-and-talk” career session for young people. His ally Deacon Cole runs a print shop on Foundry Row.

Lantern Row

The hour: midnight. The night market — food stalls, neon, rain-slicked pavement, and the city's most honest conversations. Miles ends hard days here with coffee and his notebook. In the lore, Lantern Row is where the city “tells the truth.”

The Riverfront

The hour: dusk. The promenade where he runs and reflects. The riverfront is the city's exhale — and the setting of the quietest scenes in his adventures.

Getting around

Miles's rule, from the lore: walk anything under forty blocks. The subway is for rain and rush; the riverfront path is for thinking; rooftops are for dawn. A full day in his life shows how the districts stitch together.
