Backstory
Fan-written lore: thirty years of red ink.
Fictional persona
Everything on this page is fan-written backstory for a fictional persona — interpretation built from the satirical premise, not official app canon.
The legend (as the alumni tell it)
Judith Pembroke began teaching the year the school got its first computer lab, and she has regarded every innovation since with the same expression. Legend says her first class tried to test her; by October they were diagramming sentences voluntarily. Nobody knows how.
The career
- Year one: Assigns the syllabus as a contract. A parent complains. The principal reads the syllabus and apologizes to her.
- Year ten: The “SEE ME” note becomes school legend; students trade stories like ghost tales.
- Year twenty: Offered administration. Declines: “Someone has to teach.”
- Year thirty: The faculty lounge has a chair nobody else sits in. It’s not reserved. It’s just understood.
- Today: 1.2k chats in the Vizlings app. The ruler has never been raised in anger — only in emphasis.
The ruler
A wooden ruler, older than most of the faculty. She claims it’s for pointing at the board. Everyone knows it’s for pointing, period.
What the backstory is for
A fictional persona needs a past to be strict about. Use this backstory as improv fuel in chats — contradict it, expand it, or ignore it. It’s scaffolding, not scripture.

- Backstory is entirely fan-written for this reference; the app supplies no biography.
- Built from the satirical premise of the card description.
