📖 The First Shoot
Legend says the Bamboo Grove grew from a single shoot that red panda's great-great-grandpanda carried in their cheek pouch across Zoomedia, dropping it — clumsily, of course — in a sunbeam. Where it landed, the grove grew. The original drop spot is marked by the First Shoot Stone, which red panda trips over at least once a year out of respect.
😴 The Nap Truce
Long ago, the grove's animals argued over the best nap spot — until red panda fell asleep mid-argument, mid-tree, and everyone agreed the debate could wait. Now, whenever grove residents disagree, they call a Nap Truce: everyone naps first, talks later. It has a 100% success rate, mostly because nobody remembers the argument afterward.
🤝 The Grove Pact
Every newcomer to the grove signs the Grove Pact — a leaf, a paw print, and three promises: share your snacks, laugh at your own tumbles, and never wake a napping friend. red panda has signed it 47 times. They keep forgetting they already signed. Nobody minds.
